LOCAL artist Celia Olssen gave an interesting talk to members of the University of the Third Age (U3A) Crediton and District.

Celia was inspiring about how she approaches landscape painting with watercolours in Devon...where it rains a lot!

She talked about looking at the many different hues of colour and absorbing the atmosphere before attempting to paint and advised not just painting in the summer, as the light in the other seasons gives lights and darks which add interest.

Many people asked questions and signed up for her courses.

The next U3A monthly meeting will be held on Wednesday, May 18, at 10am for coffee and 10.30am for speaker Alan Woolley - The Future of Air Power.
