CELEBRATIONS began in North Tawton this week when Graylings, the town's fish and chip shop at 8 High Street, North Tawton, began to mark it's 20th year. The Grayling family opened the business in 1994 and it is still run by the family today. They put their continued success down to being a family run business with a dedicated hard working team who pay attention to detail to ensure customers get the best fish and chips possible. In 2005 a restaurant was opened alongside the shop and this has also been very successful, enabling customers to enjoy a meal in pleasant surroundings. It was in 2012 that the restaurant was refurbished to make it bright and attractive. The family is passionate about what it does and the high quality fresh food they serve. Freshly cooked generous sized chunky white cod and local new potatoes are used for the fish and chips and the family hope they will taste even better than before in the near future as they have just invested in a brand new top of the range, high efficiency Florigo frying range. Over the years, Graylings fish and chips and their efficient staff have won many awards for the high quality of the fish and chips and the service customers receive. While many people use the take-away fish and chip service, many also enjoy dining in the restaurant and Graylings invite customers to bring their own bottle of wine to enjoy with their meal and the restaurant will provide glasses and corkage, at no extra cost. Tea, coffee and soft drinks are available. There is a separate children's menu, which proves very popular. Opening times are Monday to Saturday, 12 noon to 2pm and 5pm to 10pm. You can find out more on the website: http://www.graylingstogo.co.uk">www.graylingstogo.co.uk and also find them on Facebook. Graylings can be contacted on 01837 89195 to reserve a table in the 24-seater restaurant. The restaurant will soon be having a heating system installed, ready for the winter. If you haven't visited Graylings for a while, do so in the near future. The shop and restaurant's friendly staff are awaiting your arrival. The family would like to thank all their valued customers for their continued support over the years, and to those that travel from near or far for their freshly cooked, high quality, fish and chips.
