HUNDREDS of people filled Crediton’s Town Square earlier tonight (Thursday, December 23) when Crediton Town Band hosted its annual Christmas Carols in the Square.

From 7pm to 8pm, the talented Crediton Town Band lead the Community Carol Singing event in the Town Square.

In 2019 it proved to be a really fantastic festive occasion, with everyone singing along to the carols but tonight’s event was the best attended since the tradition began.

Everyone dressed up warm and fortunately the weather was not too cold.

Paul Evans led the singing and acted as MC with the Carols and commentary signed by Lesley Rogers.

Band members looked festive in Santa hats and everyone admired the Christmas in Crediton committee big tree and lights around the Town Square.

Service sheets were available for a donation to Age Concern Crediton.

Collection buckets were also manned by the Lions Club of Crediton.

The evening proved a really special festive family occasion and many joined in with the singing.

Band members will also play Christmas Carols in Crediton High Street from 10.30am tomorrow, Friday, December 24.
