CHILDREN from class four at Newton St Cyres Primary School sang Christmas Carols and songs from their school production “Cinderella and Rockerfella”, at the Tesco store at Wellparks, Crediton.

Mr James Akhurst, deputy head teacher, said: “They sounded fantastic and could be heard throughout the store.

“It was extremely pleasing to hear so many positive comments from the public and we are very grateful for their generous donations.”

He expressed thanks to the parents who provided transport and stayed to support the children on the day and said that £180 was raised from the carol singing for school funds.
