A CAR travelling up Blagdon Road in Crediton collided with the pavement and a property wall before continuing across the roundabout and hitting another wall head-on at the junction at the bottom of Jockey Hill.
The single-vehicle incident occurred just before 10pm on Thursday, April 20.
The male driver was not seriously injured because airbags had activated in the grey coloured 59-plate Honda Jazz.
However, the car, which finally struck the wall at Housing 21, is believed to be a write-off.
The man assisted local residents with picking up glass and debris from the road while on his mobile telephone.
After 20 minutes the man left the scene in a red car which had come to collect him.
Local residents have been calling for safety improvements at the junction for many years.
Just before Christmas a drunk-driver collided with a property on the roundabout causing considerable damage to the property and distress for the owners.
