INTELLIGENCE passed to the police helped them find a cannabis factory at a residential address in Crediton.

Officers from Section One, Tiverton Response, executed a drugs warrant, served under Section 23 Misuse of Drugs Act 1971, at an address in Ash Court, Deep Lane, Crediton, on Monday, February 28.

In the cellar and the double garage, officers found 94 cannabis plants and hydroponic equipment.

The plants were at different stages of maturity, worth an estimated £60,000.

The equipment included lights, heaters, timers, insulation, water and seed trays, generators, fans, propagators and ventilation equipment.

Drums of plant feed were found as well as automatic water feed systems.

It has been estimated that the set-up costs of the equipment found would have been between £8,000 and £10,000.

Officers found that the electricity meter had been tampered with.

Two people were subsequently interviewed by Tiverton CID, arrested, and have been released on police bail.

The hydroponics equipment was dismantled and taken to Crediton Police Station.

The plants were bagged and removed for evidence.

PC Rob Poole, told the Courier: "This is a great result for intelligence and community-based policing.

"The people who set this up believed they could freely run
