THE Cadbury Deanery Bell Ringers held a competition for novice and intermediate teams at St Swithun’s Church, Sandford on Saturday, September 27.

Teams from Morchard Bishop, MB; and Netherexe, N; took part.

The results were as follows:

Novice section (Five minutes of round ringing) Shield and First place Wendy, MB ¾faults; Second Andrew, MB 10 ½ ;

Intermediate section 60 on thirds top ringing only: Shield and First place N b, 35 ½ faults; Second N a, 57.

The judge was Mr Jim King. Mrs Rita King served light refreshments.

The chairman Mr Bob Robinson expressed his thanks to all who participated.

The Deanery is again having a monthly social evening ring.

The October ring is being held at Poughill Church on Wednesday, October 8 at 7pm.

It is hoped that ringers from the towers of the Deanery will go along, it is open to all whatever their stage of ringing.
