THE Third Crediton Guides had a particularly busy week at the beginning of this month.

On Saturday, July 2, 36 girls and leaders travelled to Wembley Arena, in London, for Girlguiding’s annual “BIG GIG”.

The “BIG GIG” is a concert with a difference - it is just for Guides and members of the Senior Section and 10,000 girls can make a lot of noise!

This year the girls enjoyed performances from a great line-up of acts including: Imani Williams, Callum Scott, BB Diamond, MiC Lowry, Matt DeFreitas, Fleur East and Jess Glynne.  Jess Glynne had played the Pyramid stage at Glastonbury the week before and was a big hit with the girls.

The musical theme continued the following week when the Crediton Guides welcomed Natalie Bragg of ZumbaCrediton to their meeting to teach them zumba as part of their Agility Badge.

The girls were full of energy dancing and singing along and picked up the steps well.

Natalie recently completed her Zumba Kids training and is excited to be starting her children’s classes locally in the next couple of months.

The girls were exhausted by the end of the evening but had had great fun.
