SUE Williams, Practice Manager at Charlesworth Nicholl Solicitors in Crediton, had a busy month in November.

Sue is currently Chair of the Institute of Legal Finance and Management (ILFM) and recently chaired the Institute’s AGM held at the Law Society in Chancery Lane in London.

Sue travelled to Edinburgh on November 4 to attend the Annual Dinner of the Society of Law Accountants in Scotland.

On November 24 she was at Drapers Hall in London as a guest of the City of London Solicitors Livery Company at their Annual Dinner.

On November 25 Sue was chairing the ILFM’s Annual Conference at the Law Society in London.

She said it was a very successful conference with around 100 members attending.

Speakers included Amy Bell, Chair of the Law Society Money Laundering Task Force, Andrew Allen, Chair of the Institute of Chartered Accountants Solicitors Special Interest Group and Chris Handford, the SRA Director of Regulatory Policy.

Sue had organised the conference along with Tim Kidd, CEO of the ILFM, and she chaired a Panel Question and Answer Session in the afternoon.

At the end of November Sue then attended the Annual Dinner of the Institute of Certified Bookkeepers, held at the Mansion House.

Sue said: “I have really enjoyed this aspect of being Chair of the Institute, and it has been a real privilege to be a guest at such prestigious events, and to see the Mansion House, which is quite fabulous inside, was amazing.”

Sue is now back home with her feet firmly on the ground in Crediton and looking forward to the Christmas celebrations with her family, and with colleagues at Charlesworth Nicholl.

As well as managing the practice, Sue, a qualified Chartered Accountant, provides tax and accountancy support to clients.
