IT has been a busy and sociable start to 2026 for the members of Tedburn St Mary WI.

The ladies of this local group, numbering 40 in total, have had lots on offer to them in the first two months of the new year.

A celebratory lunch was held in local inn, The Travellers Rest, during early January, which was very much enjoyed by all who attended. A second lunch outing is planned for February.

Sadly, the rain has been a bit too much of a challenge, and our monthly walk had to be cancelled. Hopefully the weather will have improved by the time this is published, and Tedburn St Mary WI members will have been out, taking in the beauty of the local Devon scenery, inspired by our speaker at the February meeting, who was Brigitte Martin Powell.

Brigitte gave an uplifting and informative presentation on her walking pilgrimage to Rome, supported by beautiful photographs of her travels, which was much appreciated.

Tedburn St Mary WI crafting sessions are always well supported, and continue to offer a variety of art and craft active and projects for members to engage in.

Our regular meetings are held in Tedburn St Mary Village Hall on the first Tuesday of each month, at 7.30pm.

As always, we love to meet prospective new members, and you will be warmly welcomed if you would like to attend.

There are lots of activities on offer at Tedburn St Mary WI every month, including good speakers, walks, and knitting and craft sessions.
