THE Third Crediton Brownies completed a litter pick on both verges of half of the new Crediton Link Road on a recent chilly evening.
Jill Taylor, Brownie Guider, said the Brownies undertook the litter pick as part of their commitment to help the community, inspired by Crediton Town Council’s recent aim to tidy up the town and as part of the Queen’s 90th Birthday challenge badge.
She said: "I think the girls did a fantastic job!
"We picked up 15 bags of rubbish in total: lots of cans, plastic bottles and wrapping, but other more unusual things such as rubber work gloves, a comb, and an air freshener which the girls decided would now smell more like rotten eggs!"
She said the girls really enjoyed taking part in the litter pick, adding that one Brownie said: "It was a day to remember!"
