THE monthly market held at Cheriton Fitzpaine Parish Hall is always well-attended, with a brisk trade in vegetables, artisan breads and crafts etc.

The cake stall in June was manned by helpers Emma Gordon and Fay Williams who run the Thursday lunchtime Garden Club at the village Primary School.

The children are very enthusiastic, and enjoy watching courgettes and flowers grow from their efforts.

In the Committee Room bacon rolls were consumed rapidly and this is definitely the place to catch up with gossip!
