A BRILLIANT day was enjoyed by children, parents and staff on Children in Need day at Hayward’s Primary School in Crediton.

The children paid a pound each to wear what they like/dress in spotted costumes.

Each class tried to fill as many Pudsey’s as possible with 1p and 2p coins.

The children drew a duck from a hat and joined in the Children in Need Annual Duck Race Sweepstake.

In assembly the children and staff watched the duck race live and celebrated the winner.

The school also held an extremely successful cake sale.

Andy Smith, head teacher, described it as “A brilliant day”.
