Our free Christmas Catalogue is now available in-store – packed with brilliant book recommendations for all ages. Pop in to pick one up – and take an extra copy for a friend!

This year’s magical Christmas window has been hand-painted by the brilliant author and illustrator Claire Barker, bringing a joyful splash of colour and creativity to the High Street. Inside, the shop has been beautifully remerchandised to make it easier than ever to find that special something – from inspiring reads to thoughtful stocking-fillers.

Alongside our brilliant books, we’ve got a great range of literary and knowledge-based puzzles for all ages, plus an expanded selection of calendars, Christmas cards, beautifully designed notebooks and diaries – perfect for gifting or treating yourself.

Our friendly team is on hand to help you choose the perfect book - a gift that sparks imagination, invites adventure, and lasts a lifetime. And every book you buy helps fund The Bookery’s outreach work with preschool children, in schools, for older people and for the wider community.

We’re open for late-night shopping on Thursday, December 5 until 8pm, and for extended hours on Saturdays throughout December (9.30am to 4pm).

We’ll also be open until 4pm on Saturday, November 29 for Crediton’s Christmas Lights celebrations, and from 9.30am to 2pm on Christmas Eve.
