BREAST Cancer Care’s biggest, pinkest fundraiser, The Big Pink, is back during October for Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and the charity is encouraging people to gather their friends, family, neighbours or colleagues to raise vital funds to support people with breast cancer.
From a simple dress down day at work or a fun night in with friends, it’s easy to get involved.
Anything goes… as long as it’s pink!
And whatever you do, every penny you raise will help Breast Cancer Care to be there for anyone with breast cancer from day one.
Join in on Friday, October 14, or choose a date to suit you.
Breast Cancer Care is the only UK-wide breast cancer support charity and every year, around 60,000 people in the UK are told they have breast cancer.
All money raised through people holding Big Pink events will help Breast Cancer Care to continue to provide reliable information and one-to-one support over the phone and online from nurses and people who’ve been diagnosed themselves.
Fiona West, community fundraising marketing officer, at Breast Cancer Care says: “We are so excited that the Big Pink is back, we hope local people join us and host their own events.
"It is vital that our services remain free and with your help this Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Breast Cancer Care can continue to provide emotional care, support and information to those who need it.”
The Breast Cancer Care website has lots of games and ideas to make your Big Pink as fun and easy to organise as possible.
