MEMBERS of the First Bow Scouts enjoyed spending a recent evening visiting Crediton’s five takeaways to determine who sells the best chips in the town.
Ahead of the day, Dylan Cavender, Scout, aged 10, explained: "Me and my fellow Scouts will be going around Crediton in groups buying chips from five takeaways.
"We will be testing customer service, portion size, cost, and most importantly taste, before we crown the winner!"
Dylan’s mum, Louise, said: "After a tough evening trying lots of chips, Bow Scouts awarded best chippy in Crediton to Chef’s Choice!"
The Scouts presented a certificate to Chef’s Choice at the end of the evening.
