BOW Climate Action Group (BCAG) was formed by concerned village residents in October of this year with the aim of taking positive action to combat the adverse effects of climate change.

On November 23 the group undertook its first group local action by walking the lanes and streets of Bow picking up litter.

This event was suggested and planned by one of the younger members of the group, Bethany Hayes.

The group has already had three meetings in the local village hall and the attendance has been consistently strong, during one of which a visiting speaker from a green group in Somerset came to share their experiences and expertise. Kay Coppard, BCAG co-founder and Chairperson said: “We are a newly formed group and it is still early days, but we are both encouraged and delighted by the great support for this initiative from Bow villagers already.
