THREE local youngsters have read as many as 50 books each in a library reading challenge.
Adaline, 7, from North Tawton, Violet, 6, from Crediton and Tor, 5, from Shobrooke have received Secret Book Quest certificates from Crediton Library in recognition of their achievement.
A keen swimmer, Adaline particularly enjoyed reading the children's book series Dork Diaries by Rachel Renée Russell.
Violet’s favourite author is Julia Donaldson. She also enjoys acro dance and going along to her local Rainbows group.
Tor had fun reading Monster Truck Games by Rebecca Colby and likes climbing, cycling and playing with LEGO.
The Secret Book Quest involves reading a set number of books, collecting stickers and deciphering a code. Children can sign up for the challenge at their local library.
