QUEEN Elizabeth’s School Theatre Academy will present “West Side Story” at QE Drama Hall, Western Road Campus, from Tuesday, January 31 to Saturday, February 4.
“With the final touches being added to the urban New York set, the stylised costumes of Sharks and Jets taking shape, the challenging and demanding dances being perfected and each performer finding their compelling character, the ‘West Side Story’ is set to be one of the best performances that QE has produced,” said Vicky Evans, Head of Drama, at QE Theatre Academy.
QE Theatre Academy is renowned for its high-quality performances.
Due to the popularity of the production, originally directed and choreographed by Jerome Robbins, and due to the performance quality that has been produced year-on-year by QE’s cast of students, the tickets are selling extremely fast.
However, there is still time to book seats, so to avoid disappointment, please contact the School Library on 01363 778365 to book your places now.
There are still some tickets available for the 7.30pm performances and for the 2.30pm matinee on February 4.
Tickets are priced at £10 for adults and £7 for students.
Vicky added: “The fantastic cast of QE students look forward immensely to creating an exciting, emotional and dynamic performance and we are thrilled that so many people in the community and further afield will be coming to enjoy and share in our students’ hard work.”
