LOCAL couple John and Elizabeth Mason were disheartened to find that a sign John made to promote the local bingo, in aid of the new community hall at Copplestone, was destroyed.
The sign, which was about 17 inches wide and 24 inches tall, was put up opposite the old Dulings Farm shop, on the left hand side of the road (A377), on the approach to the village.
It was put up on Thursday, March 31 and had been destroyed by Monday, April 4. There were no traces that a car had caused the damage and the couple think it may have been vandalised.
