MID Devon Beaver Scouts from Crediton, South Zeal, Okehampton, North Tawton, Bow and Tedburn joined together for a party to mark the 30th anniversary of the Beaver Scout Movement.

The young people aged from six to eight years celebrated at a party held in South Tawton with party games and activities such as toasting marshmallows, chocolate game, ball and balloon games and also created decorations for the Christmas tree festival in Crediton Parish Church in early December.

No party would be complete without the provision of cake!

Individual cupcakes with the 30th Beaver logo were kindly baked by Okehampton leader Sulina Tallack and enjoyed by all.

The colonies had "fun and friends" the Beaver Scout motto by meeting others from different colonies.

Heather Johns said: "A total of 150,000 adults volunteer to make this happen for our young people and I can wholly recommend it as I get as much out of it watching the young people develop in all areas."

Vacancies currently exist for a Beaver leader in Bow, Cub leaders in South Zeal and Okehampton and a Scout leader in Crediton.
