THE Amber Foundation, a charity supporting young people grappling with homelessness and unemployment at Chawleigh, has places remaining for the Bath Half Marathon on Sunday, March 17.

The event, affectionately known as the “Bat Half”, is one of the longest established and most popular city centre road events in the UK. The course is flat and fast - making it perfect for all abilities; whether runners are wanting to attempt their first half marathon or are more seasoned runners seeking a personal best.

General entries for the race are now sold out. The deadline to bag one of Amber’s places is February 7.

Amber has been working with young people on the fringes of society since 1995.

The charity provides more than just a safe place, it offers specialist support for 17-30 year olds with complex needs.

The majority of Amber residents leave their troubled pasts behind them and move on to bright independent futures; a job, training or university place and most importantly a safe secure home of their own.

If you would like to take part in the Bath Half for Amber you can sign up via the website: or contact Becky Fry Fundraising Manager at Amber’s centre on 01769 582020 or email: [email protected] .
