THE two churches in Tedburn St Mary have organised a free event to celebrate and give thanks for the Harvest by providing a fun evening for all the community with a Barn Dance on Saturday, October 6.
Live music from the “Hips ’n’ Haws’ ceilidh band will get everyone up dancing from 6pm to 10pm at Tedburn Village Hall.
On the night, if people want to donate some money, it will all go to Christians Against Poverty (CAP), a national charity which works to provide practical support for people who need to get out of the cycle of debt and poverty - showing that there is always hope, whatever the situation.
This is the second year this event has been held and it is hoped to match the success of last year’s Barn Dance, where 180 people went along and had fun and raised more than £500 for CAP.
To book free tickets telephone Helen on 07772 436 516 or email: [email protected] .
Those who go along are asked to take a bottle and plate of food to share.
