IF you have got the baking bug and are glued to the new series of "The Great British Bake Off" on the TV screens, this could be just the event for you!

National Air Ambulance Week takes place from September 19 to 25 and Devon Air Ambulance Trust is asking you to put on your apron and get baking in order to raise funds for them.

Caroline Creer, Fundraising Director of Devon Air Ambulance, said: “We’re asking all keen amateur cooks, and in fact those that have never cooked before to ’have-a-go’ and get baking.

"Maybe you could have a cake stall at your work place; selling them to staff or customers.

"Do you go to school or college; why not see if you could hold a cake sale at break time?  If you are feeling competitive you could hold a bake off competition and ask someone to judge.”

Caroline added: “Make sure you let us know as we can help you with some publicity posters and mention you on our “Facebook” and “Twitter” pages. We’d love to share your baking success photos too, or even your best failures in true GBBO: An Extra Slice style!”
