STUDENTS at both Queen Elizabeth’s School campuses took part in QE’s Comic Relief Bake-off 2019 and cakes were judged based on appearance and taste.
The Western Road campus judge was Principal Rupert Poole and the Barnfield Campus judge was Assistant Principal and Head of Barnfield campus, Alistair Smith.
After judging, the cakes were sold to staff and students at lunchtime.
Mr Poole said: "Everyone made a huge effort – we had some amazing entries and it was extremely hard to judge."
The Western Road winners were: 1 Megan Rutherford and Charlie Copeland, 2 Charlotte Mould, 3 Jamie Crang.
The Barnfield winners were: 1 Holly Leyman, 2 Hattie Fry, 3 Anna Mortimer.
A non-uniform day helped to raise additional funds and in total QE raised £230 for Comic Relief.
