LIFE at Holy Cross Church continues apace with plenty lined up to come as summer turns to autumn.
We are delighted that the Craft Fair raised £400 for the church’s PCC as well as benefiting local crafters and are grateful for the support of the local community at this and the Quiz and Supper.
Here are some more dates for your diary:
Wednesday, September 28 - at 7.30pm in the Boniface Centre, there will be a talk by a local solicitor to explain Lasting Powers of Attorney. We anticipate that the talk will be both interesting and informative and will provide an opportunity to ask questions. There is no charge for the talk - tea, coffee and biscuits will be available afterwards for a donation. All welcome, no need to book.
Saturday, October 8 - at 7pm in the Boniface Centre, Wine Tasting with Food. Sample eight different wines accompanied by appropriate nibbles. Tickets cost £10 per person and are available from A E Lee Outfitters or from Peter Brewer Telephone: 01363 774269 or email: [email protected] .
Sundays, October 9 and 23 - at 3.30pm in the Boniface Centre, [email protected] a short informal service of worship suitable for families followed by refreshments
Friday, October 14 - Going for a Sing from 10.30am to 12 noon in the Boniface Centre. Like to sing but don’t want to join a choir? Why don’t you come along to this fun, informal singing group? All welcome and followed by refreshments. No charge but donations invited to cover costs. For more information, telephone Anne on 01363 772865.
Saturday, October 15 - “Go Goliath!” at 4.30pm in Holy Cross Church. The Holy Cross Choir join with Devon County Junior Choir in singing a variety of music followed by Nicholas Brown and Simon Ford’s latest dramatic cantata, Go Goliath!
Tickets £8 on the door (card or cash accepted) with children under 12 free-of-charge. This event is in aid of the Crediton Parish Church Music Endowment Fund which aims to promote and assist with the study, practise, provision and improvement of music making at Holy Cross Church.
