AN AUCTION of Promises held at Crediton Rugby Club raised a total of £3,006 towards the Under 15's tour fund for Cape Town in 2011.
The evening attracted 60 people and the bidding was conducted by Paul Heard of Husseys Auctioneers.
The Under 15's rugby players sold six lots for using their time and labour raising at least £40.
The highest bid of the night came for a Dinner and Bed and Breakfast at Bovey Castle including a round of golf.
Under 15's manager David Dogeon said: "The organisers would like to thank everyone who contributed to the evening." He added: "We are very grateful for all of their support!"
The next fund raising event will be at Sandford Village Hall on Saturday, December 19 with Rhythm Machine.
