AFTER success in Oxford, artist Miriam Jangles has her first exhibition entitled "’Murmuration" in Devon, at the East Town Cafe in Crediton.

The exhibition will run until the end of September.

Miriam, who recently relocated to the area, is exhibiting a number of her imaginative, nature inspired drawings.

"Miriam’s work sucks you in and is totally fascinating,” says Lucy Betts, who is hosting the exhibition at her cafe.

Miriam explained: "Nature is the inspiration for my art, both our own inner nature and that which surrounds us.

"I am constantly struck by the connections between these two worlds.”

Using imagination, folklore and careful observation of ecology, Miriam’s art invites everyone to explore these inner and outer worlds and the pathways between them.

She added: "At this time when so much of the natural world is at risk, we need to find ways of creatively exploring what it means to be human in a more than human world.  I hope my art gives an opportunity to experience that.”

The exhibition can be viewed during cafe opening times, Tuesday – Friday 9am-4.30pm, Saturday 9am – 2pm.
