AROUND £900 was raised at the Christmas Bazaar held at the Memorial Hall, Morchard Bishop for the parish church.

It was a very festive occasion, the cake stall “groaning” with diet breaking goodies, a splendid raffle, a bright and cheerful Christmas decorations/present stall as well as the popular tombola and jewellery stalls.

There were games and competitions for the children and, of course, the arrival of Father Christmas was a delight for the younger generation.

The children of Morchard Bishop school gave a demonstration of hand bells, their first since the bells were refurbished in the summer. The concentration on their young faces was a delight. Teas and mince pies gave a welcome chance to sit down after touring the stalls.

Thanks went to everyone who helped in whatever capacity and to all who attended the Bazaar.
