THE Community apple pressing event hosted by St Swithun’s Church, Shobrooke raised £82.50 in donations which will go to the Namrata Shar Orphanage and School in Kenya, a church supported project.

James Muirdon was thanked for the loan of the apple presses and mill.

Customers were able to take away juice for drinking and cider brewing.

Cakes and squash were available during the event.

Although it was a poor year for apples Clare and Jack Shelley ensured there was plenty of juice for everyone.
