AN appeal for witnesses or information has been issued after a second incident of flower planters being tipped over on the approach to Crediton.

Two of the planters, made from old barrels, were tipped off supporting barrels on Tuesday, April 23.

Compost was tipped out and fortunately the planters had not yet been filled with flowers.

The Rotary Club of Crediton Boniface issued an appeal to trace who tipped over the planters following the first incident.

The planters were donated by Sandford Orchards some years ago.

They make a welcome approach to the town when filled with flowers.

Rotarian Paul Fallon, spoke about the recent second incident and said: “Once again, on Thursday night, May 10, one of the barrels was tipped over again.

“I have no idea just how they do this as it would take at least three males to dislodge them.

“Please ask the community to keep a close eye on them, and inform us if they have any information regarding these incidences.

“Thank you.”

If you saw who tipped the bins over, or have any information about who it was, please tell Crediton Police using the 101 number or contact any member of The Rotary Club of Crediton.
