Annual service of remembering and sharing at Exeter hospital
EVERY year, the Royal Devon and Exeter Hospital holds a service to support all those who have been affected by miscarriage, stillbirth or neo-natal death.
The Service of Remembering and Sharing is led by one of the hospital’s Chaplains and is open to anyone, whether bereavement is recent or from many years ago.
This year it will be held on Sunday, March 18 at 2pm in the Chapel at the RD and E’s Wonford site on Barrack Road, Exeter.
It will be a simple service, with an opportunity to remember in a safe space, to light a candle or view the memorial books. Members of the Exeter SANDS group will also be present.
Those unable to attend might like to know about the “Saying Goodbye Services” - run by the Mariposa Trust, a charity that offers remembrance services for people who have lost a child at any stage of pregnancy, at birth or in infancy.
Their next service is being held at Exeter Cathedral on Saturday, April 14 at 1pm.
