ALTHOUGH Crediton Hospital off Western Road no longer has beds, it is still a functioning part of the community with its wide range of clinics for all ages from babies upwards.

The Hospital has its own League of Friends, a registered charity which set up not long after the Hospital opened in 1986. The League committee meets about six times a year at the Hospital.

Wherever possible it helps local organisations with funding requests relating to health and well-being so they are always pleased to hear about initiatives in the community which will contribute to this.

It is holding its annual meeting at the Hospital on Western Road at 7pm on Thursday, April 11. It will be an informal meeting, tea and coffee etc, and people are most welcome to go along to see what the League does.

The League is currently seeking a new chairperson.
