I AM writing on behalf of Newton St Cyres Cricket Club. We are a small club who play at the Recreation Ground in Newton St Cyres and compete in the Devon Cricket League, F Division.
Over the last couple of years we have improved vastly and consider ourselves to be genuine contenders for league promotion this year.
To match our potential on the field we are looking to purchase new club kit for the forthcoming season. That is why I am writing to the readers of the Courier.
As a small club we operate on a very tight budget and rely on players and members for teas, ground preparation etc.
I am seeking sponsorship from local businesses for the following items:
Club Cap - these will be traditional green woollen cricket caps with the club logo embroidered on the front. We will also have the name of our sponsors embroidered onto the back of the cap. These will be worn for all matches by the players and will cost £286 for 22 caps.
Club Polo Shirt - these will be basic, dark green polo shirts with the club logo embroidered on the left breast. We will also have the name of our sponsors embroidered onto the right sleeve. These will be worn after games by the players and also on the numerous club socials, quiz nights and golf days etc, that we take part in and will also cost £286 for 22 shirts.
In time, we also plan to have a club website up and running. For a club sponsor we will also advertise their business on the site, and provide a direct link to their website from ours. In the meantime, we can post business details on our club Facebook page.
