AFTER two years away, it was great to have the Sandford School Strawberry Fair back again.
Daniel Snell from the Friends of Sandford School said: “The school and its community pulled together to get everything organised, and this year there were vintage tractors and farming models on show as well as the usual fun games such as welly wanging, lucky dip and Wet the rector, which, given the weather, proved very popular!
“The famous cream teas were of course the star of the day and those in the kitchen tent were flat out keeping the customers happy.
“The final total raised, estimated at almost £2,000, goes towards enriching the educational experience of all the children at Sandford School.
“A big thank you to everyone who helped out on the day, or came along and made it such a success.”
