A COFFEE Morning held at Crediton Rugby Club on Friday, September 21 raised £238 for Hospiscare.

The event, organised by Alice Eaton was held in memory of Emma and to thank Hospiscare for all the good work it does.

The ladies wore aprons made by Alice to serve a delicious selection of cakes.

The winner of "Guess the weight of the cake" competition was June Bolt, who was spot on with 3lb 10ozs.

The winner of "Guess how many coffee beans in the jar" was Christine Wills, whose guess was nearest to the 555 beans.

Alice said: "I would like to express my thanks to Emma and June Bolt for all their help, and to everyone who donated prizes for the prize draw."

Denise Hook of Hospiscare, who attended the event, said: "We appreciate all the coffee mornings that have been held to raise money for our hospices in Exeter, Tiverton and Honiton."
