A DEVON Air Ambulance helicopter used the Night Landing facility at Crediton United football ground at Lords Meadow last night, Thursday, March 18.

Local resident Mike Edworthy, who kindly sent the "Courier" a photograph of the Air Ambulance at the Football Club, said: "It touched down at about 7.15 pm and two of its crew then attended an incident.

"The Helicopter then was stood down approximately 30 minutes later and took off to fly back to its Exeter base."

He added: "The crew were able to remotely switch on the football club flood lights to enable a safe landing. The lights are not required for take off to aid the pilots night vision."
