THE Devon County Agricultural Association is delighted to announce that Agrifest South West 2022 will take place on Wednesday, November 2 at Westpoint, Exeter.
The Show, which attracts Pedigree and Primestock cattle and lamb entries from across the region, is the biggest commercial event of its type in the South West.
This year, entry to Agrifest is free.
Agrifest South West Chairman, Deborah Custance Baker, commented: “The Devon County Agricultural Association is delighted to be staging this important event for regional agriculture.
“Last year’s event attracted an extraordinarily high standard of entries including our Supreme Champion Limousin, Frankie.
“And with more than £5,000 of prize money on offer and silverware provided by the Royal Smithfield Club we are confident that this year’s event will be even bigger and better.”
In addition to the primestock showing classes, 50 trade stands from agricultural businesses and those allied to agriculture will join the event in the Westpoint Arena.
A full timetable of speakers will inform on and debate the most topical agricultural subjects of the day making the Agrifest South West event a must attend event for all those working in agriculture. Confirmed speakers to-date include Professor Tom Misselbrook, a net zero and resilient farming expert and Luppo Diepenbroek whose specialist subject is regenerative farming.
Add to this a programme of awards for the tastiest steaks and burgers, what better way is there to celebrate the UK meat industry?
Gates open at 8am to farmers, agricultural traders, professionals and researchers who can come together for the day to celebrate farming in the UK. Entry is free.
