TWO members of staff at Age Concern Crediton will take part in a sponsored walk this month to raise funds for Age Concern Crediton.
Jim Southall, one of the charity’s home support assistants and Angela Hawkins, bookkeeper, will take part in an 8 mile sponsored walk around Crediton on Sunday, October 25 to raise much needed funds and are being joined by one of Jim’s clients, Mike Knight, for the final mile!
The charity provides a valuable service to help the elderly in and around the Crediton area.
It has a Community Club which meets on a Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday from 10am to 2.30pm at The Lady Mills Centre, Deep Lane, Crediton EX17 2BX.
This includes a two-course home cooked meal, refreshments and snacks, fun activities and providing a chance to meet new people. Transport can be provided.
Age Concern Crediton also has a home support service offering friendly, reliable assistance tailored to individual needs, such as Cleaning, Enabling, Shopping, Companionship and meal prep.
Age Concern Crediton is a standalone Charity and every penny it raises goes directly back into supporting the local communities and areas it serves.
Angela said: “We rely heavily on the generosity and support of our community to continue providing our vital services to older people.
“Your support is more important than ever and will help us continue making a real difference to the lives of those who need us most.
“Please support us if you can. Every donation, no matter how big or small, truly makes a difference. Together we can continue to support and care for our local older generation.”
Jim and Angela will start their venture at 10am on the day from The Lady Mills Centre.
