INFORMATION and advice about a range of subjects of importance to communities will be available at a Drop-In Advice Surgery and Information Day being held at the Boniface Centre in Crediton on Tuesday, November 8.
Open to all, the events will be of particular interest to representatives from community groups, parish councils, district and county councillors, sport and recreation organisations, village halls and other community buildings.
There will be information and advice on community resilience, rural housing, parish and neighbourhood plans, fuel poverty, village halls, health and well-being, governance, community services, community projects, funding advice, social enterprise, rural business, the Hallmark Scheme, sport and play and much more.
The event, which will run from 1pm to 7pm, is being organised by the charity, Devon Communities Together.?It will provide information and advice across its range of services including: Community planning (parish and neighbourhood plans), Devon Rural Housing Partnership, Devon Oil Collective, Healthwatch, Hallmark and community buildings management and Community enterprises, such as shops and pubs.
Members of the Crediton branch of Devon Senior Voice will also be attending to advise the public on energy switching and changing energy providers and will also have information about other money-saving initiatives.
Senior Voice members will also offer a similar service at Crediton Library from 10am to 4pm on Tuesday, November 22.
