ST Peter’s Advent Fayre was held in Zeal Monachorum Village Hall during the afternoon of Saturday, November 26.

The Fayre was opened at 2.20pm by Rev Lindsay Starrs, from the North Creedy Benefice, after which there was some brisk trade on the stalls.

At 2.45pm Father Christmas flew in with just one of his reindeer accompanying him into the hall.

There was a grand draw which included a signed copy of Michael Morpurgo’s "War Horse" (donated by Michael himself) and a limited edition Pooh Bear, donated by Isabel Harris.

Sue Carey won the copy of “War Horse” and Susie Bostock the Pooh Bear.

Sue Down won the Hamper in the Children in Need raffle, the guess the weight of the cake and a large proportion of the raffle prizes - so that’s her Christmas shopping done for this year.

Lin Stapleton sold Hospiscare products, which made £66, and £18 was raised for Children in Need.

The Fayre raised a grand total of £666 for the church.
