A WOMAN and a car were in collision at the zebra crossing in Union Road, Crediton, on Monday, February 23.
Emergency services, a police officer and PCSO and an ambulance were swiftly on the scene.
The ambulance crew treated the woman as she lay on the road in front of a stationary Peugeot Partner vehicle, which had been travelling in the Exeter direction along the A377.
A Devon Air Ambulance Trust helicopter hovered overhead before landing at The Rec, Exhibition Road.
Three paramedics ran along Mill Street and East Street into Union Road to assist the injured woman.
She was placed onto a stretcher, with head support, and placed in the land ambulance.
The ambulance transported her to the waiting Devon Air Ambulance and the woman was flown to the Royal Devon and Exeter Hospital (Wonford).
Fortunately, the woman did not suffer serious injury and reports are that she is recovering well.
