A TOTAL of 47 Year 6 pupils and staff from Landscore Primary School in Crediton recently enjoyed a week of adventurous activities and challenges in the beautiful surroundings of the South Devon coast.
The pupils, who stayed at Grenville House, which overlooks the marina in Brixham, took part in a wide range of activities including abseiling and orienteering on Berry Head, problem solving challenges, caving, canoeing, raft building, high ropes, trapeze and coasteering.
In the evenings, the group went down to the beach, played team games, had a film night and took part in a talent show.
The week allowed pupils and staff to get to know one another as they commence their final year at primary school and also realise that they can achieve things which they possibly felt were beyond their reach.
This was certainly an experience that everyone will remember. Words used to sum up the week included, “epic”, “awesome” and “brilliant”.
