REHEARSALS are taking place for a new play “Illuminate”, which will be performed at the Crediton Arts Centre on Friday, December 9 at 7.30pm and Saturday, December 10 at 2.30pm and 7.30pm.

It has been written and produced by Jane Tipping and is directed by the Artistic Director of the Cygnet Theatre, Exeter, Alistair Ganley.

The scenario of the play is based in a Devon village where the moon and poetry illuminates the landscape that you thought one walked alone in.

The three characters combine practicality and creativity which demonstrate an intriguing storyline full of surprises and echoes from the past.

The actors taking part in the play are Gabriel Casey, who was a member of the National Youth Theatre, had a career in music during his 20s and has returned to acting.  Ethan McLucas who is a third year Drama and English student at Exeter University and President of Theatre with Teeth, a society dedicated to original writing and theatre creation.

Joanne Rogers has worked as a performer for more than 20 years. She has experience in theatre, film, commercials and voice-over work and has fronted many live bands.

Jack Robson, who is the Lighting Designer and the Administrator at Crediton Arts Centre has worked with companies such as the National Theatre, Bath Theatre Royal and Sadlers Wells Ballet.
