A MUSEUM in Crediton could soon become a reality.
Crediton Area History and Museum Society celebrates its 25th anniversary next month. When the Society was formed, its main objective was to open a museum in the town but a lack of funds has thwarted that ambition until now.
The Society chairman, Adele Cox, told the Courier: "An exciting opportunity has unexpectedly arisen and our committee has decided to take it unless our members object.
"A lovely, historic building in the centre of town has unexpectedly become available to rent at a price we think we can afford.
