THERE was a Jubilee theme to Hayward’s Primary School 2022 Summer Fete held in the school grounds.

The weather was perfect and people turned out in large numbers to enjoy a parade, a long programme of entertainment, fun and games.

The first such fete for a few years, it included music from “Spin 2” and Hayward’s Choir, a bouncy castle, sweets stall, jazzy jars, class photo souvenirs, glitter tattoos, raffle, ice creams, chocolate tombola, hoopla, chocolate apples from Leapfrogs, hook-a-duck, hot dogs and burgers, splat the rat, pick-a-stick, fingerprints with the police, a Crediton fire appliance, Creddy Club rugby game, hit the target, teddy tombola, Pin the crown on the Queen, old pictures and much more.

Children were able to pet the school guinea pigs for a small fee.

The lucky dip was the first to run out of prizes, such was the demand.

The Friends of Hayward’s Primary School thank all those who supported the event or who gave prizes etc.
