IF you know the name of the national flower of Japan or in which year Exeter’s Maritime Museum closed… Then you may well be in with a chance of winning a prize in this year’s Crediton Lions Club summer quiz.
Eighty questions from general knowledge to dingbats feature in the quiz which is available from Crediton Lions members, from Adams Home Hardware, the Crediton Courier and other outlets . The quiz will be on sale all summer long at fetes, farmers’ markets, indeed wherever you find the Lions in attendance.
Quiz papers cost just £1 and you have the whole summer to deliberate over the answers.
First prize is £40, second £20 and third £10.
Even if you cannot get all the answers don’t despair as all entries will be entered into a draw for a £5 consolation prize.
Closing date this year is Saturday, September 29. All entry forms should be returned to any members of Crediton Lions Club, handed in at Adams Home Hardware or posted to Lions Summer Quiz, 62 Collins Road, Exeter EX4 5DB.
Crediton Lions Club is a part of the largest Service organisation in the world, serving and supporting need wherever it is found and on this occasion any monies raised will be towards its support in the local community.
Lions Clubs help local communities in a number of ways with every penny collected going direct to good causes. Not one penny is spent on administration, (all running costs are funded by members).
The Lions focus on good deeds and help those who are less fortunate.
