CYT, Crediton Youth Theatre, is a professionally run theatre company for young people. Activities include games, warm-ups, exercises, group work, writing and improvisation.

It does not hold auditions and new members are welcome at any time, subject to available places.

All members can get a speaking and singing part in annual productions. 

Crediton Youth Theatre’s latest musical, "Tough As Old Boots", premiered in August 2023 and delved into the murky, competitive world of the Victorian shoemaking trade in the town.

It featured a cast of talented youngsters and a live band. Here is some of the feedback received:
