LANDSCORE Primary School collected a very impressive amount of food for Crediton Foodbank last week when it celebrated Harvest.

The school was delighted that it was able to gather together as a whole community for an assembly.

During the assembly all classes shared a harvest-themed song, poem or rap that they had been learning (there was even a French song) and the children had time to reflect and be grateful for all that they have.

The school was very keen to support the work of the Foodbank in the town and so requested pupils took in tinned and dried foods for the Foodbank to redistribute to those in need.

Staff were blown away by the amount of food the children and their families donated, as were the Foodbank staff who went along to collect it.

Headteacher, Debbie Main stated she was “totally overwhelmed by the kind generosity of the Landscore families.”

She added: “We have an amazing Landscore family.”
