IF you have been in the High Street on a Sunday morning, you may have noticed people gathering in the courtyard outside the Congregational Church recently.

We have enjoyed these opportunities to gather together in person (whilst maintaining a safe distance between households of course) since government guidance permitted this.

We have been working hard to create safe ways to gather together for worship inside the building for the last couple of weeks and this week we welcomed even more people into the building, with several precautions in place.

It was lovely to be together (although two metres apart!) as we read the Bible, prayed and listened to a sermon from James Gregory (pastor).

We have been meeting over Zoom for several months now and this was still an option for those who didn’t attend in person.

Our children are also enjoying a session on a Sunday morning too and CCC Youth are meeting to chat, pray and get into the big questions of life (most recently, we’ve been asking “What matters most to me?”).

We’re also running our mentoring project, and are continuing to send out weekly emails to young people and parents with all sorts of updates and links to lots of websites (some helpful, some interesting, some just for fun – all the links are available on the church website).
